Senior Technical Recruiter (AI)

Location: Hybrid in the United Kingdom, with an address in London, Greater London.

What you will do

• Own technical searches end-to-end across AI/ML, backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure, and engineering leadership.
• Build talent maps and sourcing strategies across AI startups, technology companies, research organisations, and technical communities.
• Identify and headhunt high-quality passive candidates through relevant platforms, communities, and networks.
• Assess technical profiles and understand candidates’ actual contributions and relevance to the role.
• Partner with engineering leaders to calibrate hiring standards, refine target profiles, and improve interview processes.
• Manage senior candidates through compensation discussions, competing offers, negotiations, and closing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of recruiting experience, including substantial hiring of software engineers and other technical talent.
• Demonstrated success delivering difficult technical hires through proactive headhunting.
• Strong understanding of software engineering disciplines and ability to evaluate technical profiles beyond company names, titles, and keywords.
• Strong sourcing, candidate management, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Ability to advise hiring managers using evidence from the talent market.
• High ownership, sound judgement, and fast execution.

Nice to have

• Experience recruiting AI/ML engineers, researchers, distributed systems engineers, or senior technical leaders.
• Experience hiring internationally across multiple technical talent markets.
• Experience recruiting for an early-stage AI or technology company.
