Manufacturing Technician II (Semiconductor)

Location: Kumamoto, Japan; onsite warehouse and cleanroom work

What you will do

• Build, repair, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components using work orders, schematics, and parts lists.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, repairs, and process improvement under moderate supervision.
• Receive parts, audit availability, inspect components for defects, and coordinate priorities and parts movement with the Logistics team.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies and components.
• Complete progress, expense, and labor documentation, including data entry, and install software or perform computer programming when required.
• Work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment and travel up to 10% of the time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or higher.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry or military experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools, including electric tools.
• Basic English communication and conversation skills required.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, lift, work in tight spaces, use tools, and operate or drive heavy machinery such as forklifts.

• Associate’s degree, technical education, certifications, or relevant training.
• Basic Excel knowledge for organizing day-to-day work.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills using established procedures or scientific methods.
