Process Improvement Engineer (Epicor ERP)

Location: Waynesboro, Virginia, USA; onsite work in a hands-on industrial environment.

hirify.global provides custom industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂, with engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and aftermarket support delivered in-house.

What you will do

• Lead process improvement initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and field operations with a focus on ERP utilization.
• Analyze current workflows and design optimized future-state processes in Epicor.
• Gather stakeholder requirements, identify process gaps, and recommend ERP-driven solutions.
• Support Epicor configuration changes, testing, data analysis, reporting, and user adoption.
• Create process documentation, standard operating procedures, training materials, and video walkthroughs.
• Perform root cause analysis, monitor KPIs, and support change management and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering; management information systems; business analytics; operations management; or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience, with a strong interest in process improvement, systems thinking, and ERP-driven operations.
• Ability to understand business processes and translate them into system-based solutions.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a hands-on, fast-paced industrial environment.

Nice to have

• Experience or coursework with ERP systems, especially Epicor.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, SIPOC, or similar methodologies.
• Experience with Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or Minitab.
• Manufacturing, construction, field service, or industrial experience.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or coursework.
