TL;DR
Project Scheduler (Principal - Staff) (Transmission): Developing and maintaining integrated schedules for complex electric transmission projects with an accent on critical path methodology, resource loading, cost integration, and schedule risk analysis. Focus on coordinating project teams and contractors, analyzing schedule scenarios, mentoring junior schedulers, and mitigating risks that could delay milestones.
Location: On-site in New Albany, Ohio, United States; travel, overnight assignments, work at project sites, and occasional temporary relocation may be required.
Base salary: $99K–$151K per year.

What you will do
- Define activities, durations, work sequences, relationship logic, and milestones for complex transmission project scopes.
- Develop integrated resource-loaded and leveled schedules using critical path methodology.
- Maintain schedules, collect progress data, prepare status reports, and communicate risks and schedule updates to project stakeholders and senior management.
- Coordinate schedule reviews with project managers, execution teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Integrate schedule and cost performance using SPI/CPI processes and provide risk assessments and mitigation recommendations.
- Mentor junior schedulers and support project management standards, systems, profiles, and scheduling processes.
Requirements
- Related education in accounting, business, construction management, engineering, technology, or project management, with qualified experience based on education level.
- Required qualified experience in utility operations, design, planning, project management, cost tracking, forecasting, budgets, accounting principles, construction, or maintenance.
- High school diploma or GED requires 7 years of qualified experience; an associate’s degree requires 5 years; a bachelor’s degree requires 3 years.
- Professional or trade certification is required with only a high school diploma or non-qualified higher education degree; examples include CCMP, CETa, IQCP, PMP, and RMP.
- Strong scheduling, analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and Microsoft Office skills, including complex spreadsheet development.
- Ability to work on-site at AEP and project locations, perform occasional light physical duties, travel overnight, and work overtime, call-out overtime, or shifts as required.
Nice to have
- Professional or trade certification when not otherwise required.
- Experience with nuclear power sites, construction site walkdowns, or hazardous work environments.
