Senior DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Madrid, Spain or Lisbon, Portugal; travel may be required.

Salary: €90,000–€110,000 per year plus performance bonuses.

hirify.global is building an AI engineering platform for demanding workloads, including LLM and agent orchestration.

What you will do

• Architect and evolve production infrastructure covering networking, compute, storage, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Build and operate cloud-agnostic Kubernetes environments across VPC, on-premises, and hybrid deployments.
• Implement GitOps-oriented CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Establish reliability practices including SLOs, SLIs, incident response, on-call processes, runbooks, postmortems, and observability.
• Own security fundamentals, developer productivity tooling, self-service environments, cost optimization, and capacity planning for AI workloads.
• Mentor and grow a small DevOps/SRE team while collaborating with AI Engineering, Backend Engineering, and Product.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
• Production operations experience with reliability engineering and incident management.
• Strong Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, Docker, and Kubernetes expertise.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for microservices and infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation, plus strong scripting or coding skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar.
• Experience with observability stacks and at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh, API gateways, or ingress at scale.
• Familiarity with GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2 readiness, or related security and compliance practices.
• Experience with GPU clusters, high-throughput compute, MLOps, or LLM serving infrastructure.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring engineers.
