(Cubit) Estimator (Construction)

Location: Work from home; required location is listed as no preference. Work schedule: 9:30 AM–6:30 PM AEST / 7:30 AM–3:30 PM PHT.

What you will do

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, tenders, and pricing for internal and external construction projects.
• Interpret architectural plans and specifications and maintain clear records of labour, material, and project costs.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers, subcontractors, contractors, and external trades.
• Track budget and tender progress, communicate updates, and coordinate pricing clarifications with stakeholders.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and document lessons learned for future projects.
• Use Buildsoft, Cubit, Microsoft Excel, and other estimating systems to prepare reports.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in construction estimating or a similar field, with 3 or more years of work experience.
• Experience in commercial fit-out or shopfitting is preferred.
• Understanding of trade rates and construction costs, with the ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet formulas, plus the ability to learn new estimating software.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines, identify savings, and maintain a safety-first approach.
