Commercial Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor

What you will do

• Manage and administer project subcontracts and supplier accounts, including final account settlements and contractual notifications.
• Support project managers with commercial reporting, budgeting, forecasts, risks, opportunities, and claims.
• Manage project changes and claims under customer contracts and subcontractor or supplier agreements.
• Prepare claim and variation particulars, project records, documentation, and supporting evidence.
• Perform quantum and delay analysis to establish causation, entitlement, and additional time or cost.
• Draft and review subcontract terms with procurement and legal teams while advising project stakeholders on contract matters.

Requirements

• Experience in quantity surveying, contract management, or commercial project management.
• Knowledge of construction and engineering forms of contract, with extensive experience using NEC contracts.
• Experience negotiating subcontract terms and managing project budgets, risks, opportunities, and claims.
• Understanding of contract law, with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge within project teams.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical or civil construction technologies is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FIDIC and MF/1 contracts.
• Chartered Quantity Surveyor status, such as RICS or CICES.
