What you will do
- Support software requirements interpretation, development, design, coding, debugging, and documentation.
- Develop or update requirements-based test cases and verification procedures.
- Participate in unit, integration, system-level, pre-integration, and post-integration testing.
- Assist with software verification, branch coverage analysis, and investigation of software problem reports.
- Support internal software tools, configuration management, change management, and technical process improvement.
- Collaborate with Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Test, Manufacturing, Quality, and Software Engineering teams.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or master's program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least two years of undergraduate study expected before the internship begins.
- Foundational knowledge of software development, programming, problem-solving, analytical troubleshooting, and technical communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively and learn new programming languages, tools, technologies, and engineering processes.
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Phoenix for the duration of the internship.
- Must qualify as a US Person because the role may involve access to technology and hardware subject to US export control laws.
Nice to have
- Experience with C, C++, C#, Python, SQL, object-oriented programming, or software design principles.
- Knowledge of embedded software, real-time systems, processor-based or hardware-integrated development, or operating environments such as Linux, QNX, VxWorks, Integrity, or Windows.
- Experience with software verification, debugging, integration testing, unit testing, code coverage, automated testing, or version-control tools.
- Experience with Qt, user-interface development, technical documentation, Agile methods, aerospace, aviation, or another regulated industry.
