Flight Software Intern

Location: Littleton, Colorado, United States. Full-time, on-site work is required for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2027. U.S. office candidates must be eligible to work with ITAR-regulated technology.

Salary: $27 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Support the MAX Flight Software team in designing and testing flight software.
• Enhance testing capabilities against emulated hardware.
• Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve practical technical challenges.
• Collaborate with mentors, supervisors, and department employees while providing progress updates.
• Participate in technical talks and professional networking events.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral program in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field, with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• At least 3 months of applied engineering experience through an internship, laboratory work, or personal or team projects.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2027.
• U.S. office candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, certain lawfully admitted refugees or asylees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations under ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 or above.
• At least 6 months of applied engineering experience.
• Programming experience in C, C++, Python, or Rust.
• Experience with Git.
