Flight Software Intern

Location: Littleton, Colorado, United States; full-time, on-site work required for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning January, February, or March 2027.

Salary: $27 USD per hour in Colorado.

What you will do

• Support the MAX Flight Software team in designing and testing flight software.
• Enhance software testing capabilities against emulated hardware.
• Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real aerospace challenges.
• Work with a mentor and department employees to develop technical and professional skills.
• Provide progress updates through regular one-on-one meetings with mentors and supervisors.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Have at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Have at least 3 months of applied engineering experience through an internship, laboratory work, or personal/team projects.
• Be able to work full-time on-site in Littleton, Colorado, for at least 12 consecutive weeks.
• For U.S. office work, meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 or above.
• At least 6 months of applied engineering experience.
• Programming experience in C, C++, Python, or Rust.
• Experience with Git.
