Staff AI Engineer (AI Core Engineering)

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship production-grade agentic AI workflows across the hirify.global DXP.
• Architect stateful, cyclic, and multi-agent workflows using LangGraph, Temporal, and Pydantic.
• Own AI observability with LangFuse, including tracing, prompt versioning, evaluation, and performance benchmarking.
• Set engineering standards for agent design, RAG, prompt management, context optimization, and tool-calling strategies.
• Partner with product and platform teams on AI architectures that meet enterprise SLA, security, and compliance requirements.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, design discussions, and customer architectural reviews.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years building AI agents in production.
• Hands-on expertise with LangGraph, Temporal, Pydantic, and LangFuse.
• Experience with LangChain or similar agent harness frameworks, including chains, tools, memory, and retrieval pipelines.
• Deep Python proficiency and strong fundamentals in testing, CI/CD, and software architecture.
• Cloud AI deployment experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containerization and inference cost management.
• Knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases, embedding models, and retrieval strategies, plus a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Enterprise SaaS or CMS experience, especially with Drupal-based digital experience platforms.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
• Familiarity with persistent agent runtimes, cross-session memory, autonomous skill creation, and always-on agent infrastructure.
• LLM fine-tuning, model evaluation, human-in-the-loop agent design, or foundational model trade-off experience.
• Experience presenting AI system designs to engineering and executive stakeholders.
