What you will do

• Architect and implement AI platforms and intelligence features, including Abacus Agents and RAG tools.
• Develop novel data collection, fine-tuning, and LLM techniques for domain-specific tasks.
• Design scalable ML/AI pipelines for preprocessing, feature engineering, and evaluation to enable rapid experimentation.
• Build reusable backend systems with robust logging and telemetry to support GenAI products company-wide.
• Mentor and coach AI/software developers and provide technical leadership across distributed teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and represent the company in customer-facing technical conversations.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• 3+ years of ML/AI engineering experience in high-velocity, high-growth companies.
• 6+ years of experience as a software developer.
• 2+ years of experience with Databricks and Mosaic AI Gateway.
• Strong track record with GenAI, embedding techniques, RAG, SQL agents, and agentic workflows.
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and designing distributed systems at 10s–100s of TBs scale.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake.
• Familiarity with FHIR.
• Exposure to healthcare data.
