Senior Applied AI Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, on-site

Salary: $230,000–$350,000 per year, depending on experience, seniority, and ownership level.

What you will do

• Own the technical direction of AI systems covering retrieval, generation, verification, evaluation, and production operations.
• Build high-quality pharmaceutical marketing assets, including emails, banners, slides, and leave-behinds, while preserving visual hierarchy, typography, brand systems, and required safety information.
• Connect generated content to real-world outcomes such as engagement, healthcare professional response, and scripts written.
• Develop offline evaluation metrics that track downstream medical, legal, and regulatory review pass rates.
• Design claim-level attribution and preserve provenance across prescribing information, clinical data, approved assets, style guides, and claim libraries.
• Establish ML CI/CD, versioning, automated testing, monitoring, and behavioral regression practices.

Requirements

• Experience shipping, operating, and maintaining ML or LLM systems in production.
• Experience inventing metrics to measure and improve AI systems.
• Strong depth in LLM retrieval, agentic pipelines, targeted fine-tuning, and selecting the appropriate tool for each task.
• Full-stack proficiency with Python, FastAPI, Docker, and AWS, with the ability to take ideas from research to deployed services independently.
• Strong judgment under ambiguity and effective collaboration and feedback skills.
• Ability to work on-site in New York City.
