Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric)

Clearance: Active Secret clearance required

What you will do

• Develop and maintain ingestion, transformation, integration, and data quality pipelines in Microsoft Fabric.
• Implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold medallion architecture layers in the Fabric Lakehouse.
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines and API integrations for student information, HR, finance, logistics, IT service management, and operational systems.
• Develop Ed-Fi REST API integrations, including Aspen-to-Ed-Fi mappings, descriptor customization, synchronization, and validation.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation testing, troubleshooting, migration, and data quality validation.
• Document pipelines and data flows while collaborating with architects, analysts, governance specialists, application teams, and source-system owners.

Requirements

• Experience developing data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integrations.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or comparable cloud data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, transformation, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Python and/or PySpark, structured and semi-structured enterprise data, and lake, lakehouse, or warehouse architectures.
• Experience with data mapping, profiling, reconciliation testing, data quality, REST APIs, and technical documentation.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Fabric Lakehouse and Bronze, Silver, and Gold medallion architectures.
• Experience with the Ed-Fi Data Standard, Ed-Fi ODS/API, or Aspen-to-Ed-Fi integrations.
• Experience with HR/DCPDS, financial, logistics, or IT service management data.
• Experience with large-scale cloud migrations, modernization, data governance, metadata, lineage, or enterprise data quality.
