Customs Operation Analyst (Automotive)

What you will do

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including maritime, ground, and air import/export operations.
• Prepare import and export documentation, file Electronic Value Declarations, and manage customs declarations and pedimentos within required deadlines.
• Administer pedimentos, virtual operations, regime changes, regularizations, identifiers, and the application of PROSEC, USMCA, and Eighth Rules.
• Maintain customs files and support periodic and special foreign-trade reports, certifications, and compliance data.
• Communicate with Mexican and American customs agencies and coordinate merchandise inspections at warehouses, ports, and airports.
• Monitor customs risks, special requirements, and security programs including C-TPAT and OAS certifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience as a customs and foreign-trade specialist.
• Knowledge of foreign-trade programs including IMMEX, PROSEC, VAT Certification, and AEO, with applicable Annex 24 and 30 systems.
• Experience with Mexican regulatory trade compliance involving SAT, Customs, and the Ministry of Economy.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage customs documentation, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.
