Location: On-site in Lorton, Virginia, United States; Washington, District of Columbia is also listed. Travel requirements: 0–20%. Working hours: Standard.
Salary: $180,000–$185,000 annually for Virginia-based roles. Additional compensation may include bonuses, incentives, sign-on bonuses, or relocation benefits.

What you will do
- Manage information security activities for a program office, including research, testing, training, and security program implementation.
- Integrate cyber resiliency objectives, techniques, and design principles into systems engineering and development throughout the SDLC.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, system diagrams, SOPs, implementation documents, and cloud operations materials.
- Perform requirements analysis, design, and integration for complex software applications and collaboration infrastructures.
- Review change requests and assess the security impact of proposed system changes.
- Conduct periodic and continuous monitoring to verify compliance with authorization packages and manage POA&M guidance.
Requirements
- Current and active Top Secret/SCI clearance and current or recent DoD SAP access required.
- Subject to a Counterintelligence polygraph and must have Special Access Program experience.
- Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, networking, or programming.
- At least 7 years of technical experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of fault tolerance and Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA), with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more of Java, Python, Ruby, C++, Linux, application security scanning, virtualization, containers, infrastructure security scanning, or vulnerability scanning.
Nice to have
- CISSP, CCSP, ISSEP, DITSCAP, or DIACAP certification.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS experience.
- Experience with tools such as OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Fortify, Checkmarx, Docker, EC2, ACAS, Nessus, or Twistlock.
