Senior Information Systems Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Local to the Denver region, United States, with flexible teleworking opportunities. Relocation assistance is available. Travel to Tromsø, Norway several times per year and occasional travel to U.S. customer sites is required.

Salary: $135,000–$165,000 annually

What you will do

• Serve as the designated Information Systems Security Officer for U.S.-based information systems and regulated environments.
• Implement, assess, and continuously monitor NIST 800-53 security controls and maintain cybersecurity posture across cloud-hosted and on-premises systems.
• Lead system authorization and Authority to Operate processes, including security plans, assessments, POA&Ms, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate audits, assessments, inspections, customer security reviews, vulnerability remediation, and cybersecurity monitoring.
• Review security events, alerts, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence for potential system impact.
• Collaborate with software, cloud, network engineering, U.S. leadership, and the Norway-based CISO on secure architectures and operational processes.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to maintain a U.S. DoD SECRET clearance.
• At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, information systems security, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years supporting regulated U.S. Government systems or environments subject to cybersecurity compliance requirements.
• Experience implementing and assessing NIST SP 800-53 controls and supporting ATO, RMF, or comparable accreditation processes.
• Experience with CUI environments, SSPs, POA&Ms, risk assessments, security policies, and continuous monitoring documentation.
• Strong knowledge of NIST RMF, NIST 800-171, CMMC, incident response, vulnerability management, networking, segmentation, access control, and secure system design.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting DoD, NASA, NOAA, Intelligence Community, or other U.S. Government programs.
• Experience with Azure Government, Microsoft Azure, AWS GovCloud, OpenStack, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with FedRAMP, SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, cloud security tooling, SSDLC, or DevSecOps.
