Elementary General Education Teacher

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, USA; full-time, in-person teaching role.

Starting salary: $50,500 per year for first-year teachers with a bachelor's degree.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned elementary instruction across grade-level content.
• Design lessons that promote student analysis, reasoning, academic discourse, writing, and problem-solving.
• Build a safe, structured classroom culture with high expectations, strong routines, and productive struggle.
• Use checks for understanding, student responses, and assessment data to adjust instruction and plan reteaching or intervention.
• Monitor student progress toward learning goals and provide timely, actionable feedback.
• Participate in collaborative planning, data analysis, coaching, and professional learning with school staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related content area.
• At least 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Valid Missouri Teacher Certification required.
• Demonstrated ability to improve student achievement, use data to inform instruction, and manage a structured classroom.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to improving outcomes for historically underserved students.

Nice to have

• Experience in a high-performing, data-driven school environment.
• Experience with standards-aligned curricula and assessment systems.
• Leadership experience within a grade-level team, content team, or school initiative.
