What you will do

• Deliver reading instruction using provided curriculum resources and develop or update curriculum as needed.
• Help students improve standardized reading test scores through applied academic activities.
• Build positive student-instructor relationships and maintain an engaging, accountable classroom environment.
• Track and document attendance, performance, progress, behavior, and achievement according to program and data-integrity guidelines.
• Help students set short-, intermediate-, and long-term goals and recognize their classroom success.
• Prepare and maintain a clean classroom, enforce conduct standards, report deficiencies, and collaborate with coworkers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Certification to teach in the state where the center is located.
• Knowledge of the required subject area.
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained and maintained.
• One year of teaching experience with disadvantaged youth is preferred.
