What you will do

• Co-teach a joyful, engaging pre-kindergarten classroom built around exploration, purposeful play, curiosity, respect, and empathy.
• Deliver instruction in literacy, phonics, language development, vocabulary, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
• Facilitate free-choice centers and small-group instruction with the lead teacher.
• Analyze student work samples and assessments weekly and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs.
• Support students’ social-emotional, physical, cognitive, language, and academic development.
• Build relationships with students and families while supporting arrivals, transitions, assemblies, lunch, and dismissal.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong motivation to improve students’ lives and commitment to educating urban students.
• Self-motivation, teamwork, personal responsibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
• Strong time management, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Reflective approach and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in schools or urban communities is preferred but not required.
