What you will do

• Create a positive, motivating, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Prepare classrooms and maintain lesson plans aligned with course materials.
• Use available curriculum resources to support mathematics instruction.
• Evaluate and document student progress, attendance, and case notes.
• Prepare reports, requisitions, evaluations, and other required Job Corps documentation.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, staff and student accountability, and a respectful learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Certification to teach in Texas is required; a waiver may be granted if the center cannot hire certified teachers, with certification pursuit required.
• Experience working with diverse youth.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to follow applicable program requirements, standard operating procedures, and corporate policies.
