Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, US; hybrid

Salary: $127,500–$195,500 per year

What you will do

• Build new features for internal and external users and refactor existing functionality.
• Design and evolve the application platform architecture in line with the product roadmap.
• Develop Python-based applications and collaborate with frontend, product, design, machine learning, and infrastructure teams.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, review, integration, reliability, and data integrity.
• Contribute to a SaaS platform supporting clinical trial workflows and industry compliance.
• Collaborate with clinical, QA, and regulatory teams to support validation and inspection readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of full life cycle software development experience.
• Experience designing and building Python applications with FastAPI or Django.
• Experience with modern frontend JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or React.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and problem-solving.
• Experience with AWS and the ability to work autonomously with a distributed team.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
