Python Solutions Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and continuously enhance complex enterprise-grade Python applications, data-intensive services, and automation platforms.
• Develop robust, secure, and high-performance systems for distributed and mission-critical production environments.
• Contribute across system design, application development, automated testing, release, and operational support.
• Debug and maintain complex enterprise applications, identify root causes, and improve reliability and resiliency.
• Collaborate with product, data, infrastructure, technical, and business teams to translate ambiguous problems into technical solutions.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects while keeping stakeholders informed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of applied Python development experience in enterprise-grade environments.
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale production applications with significant uptime and reliability requirements.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Sybase, including query tuning and schema design.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, computational efficiency, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, resiliency patterns, and secure coding standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• UNIX/Linux shell scripting and command-line tooling experience.
• Knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts and their implementation in code.
• Experience with NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Exposure to AWS services and cloud-native storage technologies including S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and Glue.
