Building Engineer (HVAC)

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on building systems, equipment, vehicles, grounds, and related infrastructure.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC, fire alarm, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems.
• Provide concierge-style service to tenants and internal and external partners.
• Use manual and power tools, meters, gauges, drain augers, and other industry-standard equipment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, safety requirements, and company directives.
• Perform or coordinate contract work including landscaping, snow removal, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in commercial building operations, property management, or a related industry preferred.
• Thorough understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required.
• EPA Universal Certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation, ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and access roofs, crawl spaces, and other confined areas.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and the ability to read plans and prints; relevant city or government licenses may be required.
