Department Manager (Retail)

Location: Fayette Mall, Lexington, Kentucky, USA. On-site retail role with responsibility for opening and closing the store.

Salary: $24.90–$24.04 per hour, non-exempt hourly position.

What you will do

• Lead the department and support an inclusive, collaborative, and customer-focused store culture.
• Manage sales, budgets, customer experience, profitability, and commercial opportunities.
• Recruit, onboard, schedule, evaluate, retain, and develop department employees.
• Coordinate with visual merchandising colleagues on product presentation and commercial execution.
• Oversee stock levels, fitting room and checkout routines, deliveries, click-and-collect, in-store technology, and store opening and closing.
• Ensure operational, administrative, health and safety, legal, and garment-care procedures are followed.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to take responsibility for others.
• Effective communication, a supportive approach, and an analytical, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work with numbers, manage statistics, and create plans to improve performance.
• Achievement-oriented and customer-centric approach, with motivation from performance and competition.
• Current knowledge of fashion trends, styles, brands, products, competitors, and relevant influencers.
• Availability to work on-site at Fayette Mall in Lexington, Kentucky, USA.
