Service Manager (Automotive Service)

Location: Wake Forest, United States; onsite retail automotive service role.

Pay range: $19.57–$29.36 per hour.

What you will do

• Assign and schedule work for automotive service staff based on individual skill levels.
• Manage customer relationships, resolve concerns, and provide proactive communication and follow-up.
• Hire, train, coach, lead, and supervise vehicle technicians.
• Oversee paperwork, financial transactions, inventory, equipment maintenance, and compliance with company standards.
• Coordinate communication between technicians and front-of-shop staff to support inspections, product recommendations, and service sales.
• Maintain customer and teammate retention while supporting exceptional service quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least four years of automotive service technical experience.
• At least one year of service manager or service writer experience.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, coaching, scheduling, and inventory-management abilities.
• Willingness to continue education and remain current with automotive repair practices.
• Valid automotive driver's license required at all times for customer-vehicle test drives; U.S. employment eligibility verification is required, and temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify candidates.
