Service Manager (Automotive)

Location: Rapid City, United States; onsite retail service role

Salary: $18.54–$27.81 per hour, plus $1,000 after 30 days and $1,000 after 90 days

What you will do

• Assign and schedule work for automotive service staff based on skill levels.
• Manage customer relationships, inquiries, feedback, complaints, issue resolution, and follow-up.
• Hire, train, coach, supervise, and retain automotive technicians.
• Oversee service quality, compliance, inventory, equipment, paperwork, and store operations.
• Coordinate communication between technicians and front-of-shop staff to support vehicle inspections and service sales.
• Provide automotive expertise and operational insights to improve customer satisfaction and revenue.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of automotive service technical experience.
• At least 1 year of service manager or service writer experience.
• Experience handling customer complaints, inventory, scheduling, equipment maintenance, and team leadership.
• Valid automotive driver's license required at all times for customer vehicle test drives.
• Employment eligibility verification is required; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Two-year degree or equivalent.
• Willingness to continue education and maintain current automotive repair knowledge.
