AI Architect (Presales)

Location: California, USA; remote work and work-from-home opportunities are available.

Salary: $134,900–$237,300 base compensation annually, with potential commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Architect production-ready AI systems for customer experience use cases, combining LLMs, deterministic workflows, tools, orchestration, human handoffs, and fallback strategies.
• Design scalable RAG and enterprise knowledge architectures, including content structuring, chunking, embedding, ranking, and trusted knowledge integration.
• Build evaluation, governance, and observability frameworks covering accuracy, retrieval quality, tool-call performance, safety, drift, cost, and business outcomes.
• Engineer contextual AI experiences using real-time customer data, interaction history, conversation state, and external signals across voice and digital channels.
• Lead presales discovery, solution architecture, demonstrations, prototypes, sandbox engagements, integrations, value assessments, and production pilot readiness.
• Create reusable technical assets and enablement while translating customer feedback into guidance for Product Management and Engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing and architecting enterprise AI solutions using machine learning, NLU/NLP, retrieval systems, LLMs, orchestration, tool use, and agentic AI.
• Strong architectural judgment across model selection, latency, cost, explainability, governance, multilingual requirements, security, scalability, and business risk.
• Deep experience integrating AI with enterprise platforms, knowledge sources, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, identity systems, and cloud ecosystems.
• Experience designing real-time enterprise systems with requirements for latency, throughput, secure data access, reliability, fallback handling, and scalability.
• Expertise in AI evaluation, governance, observability, prompt design, context management, RAG, and workflow optimization.
• Strong presales communication skills, including technical demonstrations, prototypes, executive storytelling, and collaboration with CIO, CTO, sales, and engineering stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of hirify.global Cloud and hirify.global AI capabilities.
• Experience with customer experience orchestration, contact centers, self-service, agent assistance, journey management, or back-office automation.
• Experience creating reusable enablement for solution consulting, partners, sales engineering, or related field organizations.
• Experience translating customer and field insights into product or platform improvements.
