Associate Consultant, Generative AI

Location: United States; consultants in New York City, Charlotte, Seattle, and San Francisco must live within a reasonable commuting distance and attend the office at least three days per week. More flexible in-person requirements may apply outside primary markets.

Annual base salary: $80,000–$110,000, plus an annual discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, fine-tune, and deploy LLM and generative AI solutions using models such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, and Mistral.
• Develop GenAI-powered applications and support solution architecture for secure, scalable, and compliant systems.
• Implement advanced prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation architectures with source attribution.
• Integrate models with cloud platforms, APIs, external tools, and existing systems using MLOps practices, CI/CD, versioning, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Create evaluation frameworks covering performance, reliability, fairness, safety, and responsible AI requirements.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, conduct research, and document methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or an equivalent field.
• Recent graduation within the last two years.
• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with a GenAI framework such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Foundational knowledge of NLP, vector embeddings, and semantic search, plus exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Must hold or be able to obtain the Claude Certified Architect – Foundations certification within one week of hire.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with agentic AI systems, vector databases, MCP, or fine-tuning open-source LLMs.
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
