Instructional Video Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX; Akron, Ohio; Irvine, CA; or the SF Bay Area/Northern California. Onsite work is required every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Salary: $98,500–$118,200 annually plus bonus.

What you will do

• Design and produce custom instructional videos, animations, and motion graphics.
• Develop and package SCORM-compliant curricula for learning and certification programs.
• Write scripts, narration, and on-screen text that make complex product concepts easy to understand.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, editors, and project leads on storyboards and high-quality deliverables.
• Scope level of effort, sequence timelines, and manage multiple concurrent projects through delivery.
• Organize production assets, maintain version control, track milestones, and use established AI-assisted workflows.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in video editing, motion design, or instructional media creation.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere and After Effects, plus Camtasia and Blender.
• Ability to create instructional scripts, original media assets, and visual narratives aligned with learning objectives.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms and SCORM-compliant packaging.
• Strong project management, organization, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Ability to use large language models, custom GPTs, or AI workflows to improve production efficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS, restaurant, or technology education contexts.
• Background in instructional design or learning and development.
• Experience mentoring peers in storytelling, visual design, or production processes.
