Multimedia Producer (AI)

Location: 605 Third Avenue, New York, NY, United States; hybrid work with in-person attendance three days a week or more

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year, based on experience

What you will do

• Produce discussion, interview, podcast, video, and audio content while supporting talent with lighting, framing, and recording quality.
• Edit long-form audio and video, create short-form social clips, and prepare branded intro and outro assets.
• Write copy for LinkedIn posts and YouTube Shorts, then upload and optimize content across distribution platforms.
• Manage recording calendars, provide real-time technical support, and maintain an organized media asset library.
• Track podcast analytics and collaborate with Editorial and Audience teams on content performance and strategic objectives.
• Improve production workflows through AI tools, automation, training, and technical process recommendations.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in video and audio editing and production, ideally in or alongside newsrooms.
• Strong knowledge of recording equipment and audio/video production best practices.
• Experience with remote recording platforms such as Riverside or StreamYard.
• Experience creating and optimizing content for YouTube, LinkedIn, Spotify, and other social and distribution platforms.
• Understanding of journalism principles, multimedia analytics, project management tools, and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, explain technical concepts clearly, and work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI tools for workflow automation.
• Experience working directly within a newsroom.
