Manager, Software Development (AI)

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Hybrid schedule with 2 required in-office collaboration days per week.

What you will do

• Hire, coach, retain, and develop software engineers while building a high-trust, inclusive culture.
• Own the software delivery lifecycle from technical design through deployment and operations.
• Lead engineering standards, technical decisions, quality practices, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Make AI-first development the default across specification, implementation, testing, code review, documentation, and production investigation.
• Define and deliver the team roadmap with Product Managers, protecting capacity for resilience, performance, refactoring, upgrades, and test automation.
• Partner with product, design, engineering, Customer Success, Support, and other stakeholders to resolve complex customer challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience and 3+ years of technical people management experience.
• Experience building large-scale iOS and/or Android applications; familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS environments is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of AI-assisted development, contemporary software practices, Scrum, and Agile delivery.
• Experience with Python, PHP, Vue, and AWS is an asset.
• Experience in healthcare, home health, or medical devices is an asset. French and English bilingualism is an asset.
