What you will do
- Design and implement the Python-based AI agent harness, including orchestration loops, tool execution, memory, context management, structured outputs, and failure handling.
- Build evaluation datasets, automated evaluators, and LLM-as-judge pipelines with LangSmith to measure agent quality and prevent regressions.
- Diagnose agent failures, tune prompts and tool designs, and run model comparisons and benchmarks.
- Create Python and Node services for agent hosting and LLM interaction.
- Develop Laravel APIs and AWS infrastructure using services such as Lambda, Bedrock, and CDN delivery.
- Improve MySQL performance, observability, scalability, code quality, and engineering practices while collaborating with product, design, QA, and DevOps.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend software development experience.
- Production experience building LLM-powered agents with tool calling, orchestration, context management, and prompt engineering.
- Experience designing LLM evaluations, including dataset curation, automated evaluators, LLM-as-judge systems, and regression tracking.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, and MySQL.
- Expertise in RESTful APIs, TDD, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, SaaS architecture, microservices, and AWS.
- Knowledge of observability, performance tuning, scalability, Docker, and Kubernetes, along with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Full-stack web development experience across frontend, PHP Laravel backend, and AI agent engineering.
- Experience with AI-powered product development, LLMs, LangGraph, or AI agent frameworks.
