Staff Automation & Integration Developer

Location: Montreal, Canada; hybrid with 2 set in-office collaboration days per week

AlayaCare is a SaaS company developing cloud-based technology for home healthcare providers and operating across Canada, the US, Australia, and Brazil.

What you will do

• Lead technical design and development of customer-boundary integrations, connector automations, custom exports, and workflow flows.
• Spend at least 30% of the time coding and own integrations and file-based interfaces end to end.
• Design third-party API connections, customer-specific data mappings, reusable system flows, and auditable data pipelines.
• Lead special cross-team projects, provide technical direction, unblock complex delivery, and mentor developers through reviews, coaching, and knowledge-sharing.
• Identify repetitive customer-specific work and turn it into standards, tooling, and automation.
• Represent Engineering in technical discovery, design walkthroughs, customer escalations, and stakeholder discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on full-stack software development experience.
• Experience with Python, React, Vue.js, SQL, and AWS.
• Experience owning integrations, data exports, workflow automation, third-party APIs, file-based interfaces, and customer-specific data mappings.
• Hands-on use of AI engineering tooling, including agentic pipelines and code or documentation generation.
• Excellent spoken and written English is required, including for direct customer-facing conversations.

Nice to have

• Experience with payroll, billing, or other financially sensitive data flows.
• Bilingual French and English capability.
• Strong commercial literacy involving services margin, billable utilization, and cost-to-serve.
