Staff Software Engineer (Platform and Cloud Services)

What you will do

• Own core platform domains, canonical data models, service boundaries, and long-term architecture.
• Design and operate AWS-native, event-driven, asynchronous, and failure-tolerant distributed services.
• Build secure multi-tenant systems with tenant isolation, authentication, authorization, and permission-aware data access.
• Design versioned, high-scale API contracts with idempotency, bulk and asynchronous operations, structured errors, and contract testing.
• Lead major platform initiatives from design through release while improving reliability, observability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Align cross-functional stakeholders, mentor engineers, and guide platform modernization and pragmatic AI-assisted engineering.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years at staff level.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a comparable field.
• Strong Python experience building backend and cloud services; Java experience is a plus.
• Deep experience designing, building, and operating enterprise-grade distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with data modeling, service architecture, high-throughput pipelines, asynchronous processing, ML/inference services, and high-scale APIs.
• Strong knowledge of application security, multi-tenancy, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and AI capabilities, plus excellent written and verbal English.

• Experience building AI/ML product features and data pipelines.
• Experience integrating third-party SaaS platforms and connectors.
• Experience with search and retrieval systems.
• Familiarity with CLM, contracts, or comparable enterprise B2B platforms.
