Engineering Operations Lead

Location: Serbia, Remote. Engineering leadership works across European and US hours.

Salary: 968,000–1,078,000 Serbian dinars gross per month.

What you will do

• Run the engineering leadership cadence, including director-level syncs, agendas, documented decisions, and follow-up.
• Own the quarterly OKR and QBR cycle, including updates, reviews, escalation, and executive preparation.
• Maintain a live record of leadership decisions and commitments and drive them to closure.
• Identify stalled or ownerless cross-team initiatives and establish clear ownership and checkpoints.
• Coordinate special projects, procurement, vendor selection, audits, tool pilots, and the internal AI-agent platform program.
• Turn complex organizational and project information into concise materials for the CTO, executive team, and board-level audiences.

Requirements

• Experience leading engineering operations, technical program management, or an equivalent engineering operating function at organizational scale.
• Demonstrated ownership of ambiguous, multi-team initiatives delivered through influence without direct authority.
• Experience producing concise, decision-ready executive materials from complex information.
• Ability to build durable planning, tracking, communication, and follow-up systems.
• Technical fluency sufficient to work effectively with engineers, engineering managers, and directors without owning architecture or technical strategy.
• Fluent English at C1+ level and fluent Russian are required for internal and external technical communications.

Nice to have

• Chief of Staff, Engineering Operations, or TPM-lead experience reporting to engineering leadership.
• Experience improving operational efficiency in engineering organizations of 100+ people using automation and AI tooling.
• Procurement, vendor-contracting, or budgeting experience.
• Nonprofit technology or payments-domain familiarity.
• Experience with Node.js, NestJS, React, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Kafka, Cloudflare, PCI DSS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
