Software Developer (AWS): Building and evolving cloud-native backend services, APIs and integrations for PV4, a platform that orchestrates major live sporting, entertainment and cultural events, with an accent on serverless AWS development, event-driven workflows and infrastructure as code. Focus on designing reliable production systems, improving observability and resilience, automating deployments, and solving complex operational challenges across real-world event environments.
Location: Australia; currently residing in Australia and holding the right to work in Australia required. Brisbane-based candidates preferred; applicants elsewhere in Australia considered.

What you will do
- Build and evolve cloud-native backend services, APIs and integrations for the PV4 event-management platform.
- Develop event-driven workflows using AWS serverless technologies.
- Design and maintain infrastructure as code, cloud architecture and platform integrations.
- Improve production monitoring, observability, diagnostics and operational tooling.
- Automate deployments and CI/CD while strengthening platform reliability, resilience and disaster recovery.
- Contribute to product, architecture and technical decisions within a small engineering team.
Requirements
- Experience developing AWS serverless applications and production cloud systems.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably AWS CDK.
- Backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- API development using GraphQL and/or REST, plus event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Docker, containerized workloads, monitoring, observability or reliability engineering.
- Must have the right to work in Australia and be currently based in Australia; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience with Nuxt, Vue, Electron, WebSockets or real-time systems.
- Experience with third-party integrations and Agile software delivery.
- Familiarity with CloudWatch, Grafana, application performance monitoring, incident investigation or resilience strategies.
