Manager Commercial

Location: National Harbor, Maryland, United States; onsite. Regular work across the time zones of all Sphere locations and offices may be required, with travel to other Sphere locations based on business needs.

Salary: $83,000–$150,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Support the commercial management and delivery of Sphere projects and help optimize payment review systems and processes.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts to complete, progress reporting, and productivity analysis.
• Support procurement, subcontract administration, contract management, change management, and project closeout.
• Review contractor payment applications, reimbursable costs, contract compliance, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor contractor and supply-chain performance and resolve unvalidated costs against contracts and change orders.
• Mentor team members and collaborate with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and fund-monitoring agents.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial management experience on large MEP-based installations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience or certifications.
• Experience with complex procurement, subcontract administration, commercial negotiations, budgets, forecasting, cost controls, change management, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of commercial management principles, contract law, procurement strategies, and supply chain management.
• Experience working in complex, fast-paced, multinational project environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in commercial management systems and project controls platforms.
