Product Owner (Billing Systems)

Location: Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulations.

What you will do

• Prioritize and develop user stories for sprint planning.
• Maintain and refine the product backlog based on business epics and stakeholder needs.
• Consult business stakeholders on defining requirements and collaborate with development teams on implementation approaches.
• Oversee the ongoing development of billing systems, including complex rule sets.
• Translate technical concepts between business units and development teams.
• Ensure delivery quality and identify improvements through inspect-and-adapt practices.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably in a complex technical or enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps practices.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to work with development teams and product managers.
• Knowledge of finance, billing, invoicing, and accounting processes.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous-learning skills.

Nice to have

• German language skills, particularly for discussing German tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
