Expert Product Owner (Payments and Fintech Solutions)

Location: Portugal, hybrid, with up to 3 days remote per week. Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered.

What you will do

• Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, priorities, and backlog for the Izly solution.
• Act as the primary functional contact for CNOUS, CROUS, and relevant partners.
• Collect, analyze, and prioritize business and user needs to maximize product value.
• Translate needs into user stories, business rules, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, clarify requirements, and coordinate functional testing and feature validation.
• Support incident prioritization, impact assessments, estimations, reporting, compliance activities, audits, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or in a similar role.
• Experience in payments, banking, fintech, or regulated environments.
• Strong product backlog management experience with Agile engineering teams.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, prioritization, decision-making, and client expectation management skills.
• Fluent French and Portuguese, plus professional-level English; existing legal right to work in the European Union required.

Nice to have

• Experience in digital payments, banking, or fintech sectors.
• Knowledge of regulated environments and compliance standards.
• Certifications in Agile, Product Management, or related fields.
