Plant Controller (Manufacturing)

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead operating budgets, forecasts, monthly reporting, variance analysis, KPI dashboards, and financial close activities for two manufacturing facilities.
• Partner with plant directors, operations, supply chain, cost accounting, and global finance teams to support operational decisions.
• Analyze material, labor, overhead, inventory, and plant cost performance and turn findings into actionable recommendations.
• Identify, quantify, track, and report cost improvement and productivity initiatives.
• Support capital expenditure planning, post-investment analysis, inventory targets, forecast accuracy, and profitability improvements.
• Maintain site-level internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit readiness.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in operations finance, plant controlling, or manufacturing finance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience delivering cost improvement or productivity outcomes with operational leaders.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to explain complex financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-building skills with plant and operations leadership.

Nice to have

• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting designation, or active pursuit.
• Multi-site manufacturing experience in a publicly traded company.
• Experience with standard costing, inventory management, manufacturing variance analysis, Lean, Kaizen, or VPS.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau for financial dashboards.
• Experience collaborating across global finance teams in a matrixed organization.
