Maintenance Technician (Property Maintenance)

Location: On-site at a defined property portfolio in Portland, Maine, United States

Salary: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, with overtime opportunity

What you will do

• Perform routine, emergency, and preventive repairs in apartments and buildings.
• Maintain buildings and grounds, including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and light carpentry work.
• Complete assigned work orders and maintain digital records through work-related applications.
• Respond to resident maintenance needs and work professionally in occupied apartments.
• Participate in a shared rotating on-call schedule for emergent maintenance requests.
• Collaborate with property management to maintain safe, welcoming, and comfortable homes.

Requirements

• Knowledge of, or ability to learn, general apartment and building repairs.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• Good communication and strong customer service skills.
• Comfort using a company-issued cellular phone and work-related applications.
• Reliable vehicle for daily transportation; mileage reimbursement is provided.
• Availability for the required shared rotating on-call schedule.
