Senior Territory Production Underwriter - Middle Market Construction Insurance

Location: Remote within the United States, preferably based in or near the assigned Northeast territory; heavy travel to agency relationships with possible extended stays.

Salary: $128,000–$192,000 expected starting range; national range $128,000–$227,000 per year.

What you will do

• Underwrite, quote, price, and renew complex middle-market commercial accounts, with an emphasis on construction services.
• Analyze risks, agency books of business, market conditions, underwriting performance, profitability, and growth trends.
• Build and execute territory and agency business plans focused on premium, profit, pipeline management, and service objectives.
• Market hirify.global products, develop new business opportunities, and recommend agency appointments and account strategies.
• Consult with agencies and internal partners on coverage, appetite, pricing, risk management, retention, and growth strategies.
• Visit agencies, strengthen producer relationships, communicate market intelligence, and support training and professional development.

Requirements

• At least seven years of progressively responsible commercial underwriting and sales experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial underwriting, pricing, and coverage for middle-market business.
• Commercial insurance underwriting experience with underwriting authority and a profitability- and production-oriented approach.
• Agency management experience and the ability to build relationships with agency leaders, producers, and brokers.
• Construction-specific insurance experience and existing agency relationships are highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license, safe driving record, ability to travel extensively, and authorization to work in the United States are required; employer-sponsored work authorization is not available.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• CPCU, CIC, or another relevant professional designation.
• Commercial middle-market construction insurance expertise.
