Senior/Executive Underwriter, West (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote, anywhere in the Western region of the United States

Salary: $150,000–$210,000 per year, depending on geographic market and qualifications

What you will do

• Underwrite new and renewal cyber and Technology E&O accounts, including enterprise businesses with approximately $1B+ in revenue.
• Manage broker relationships for complex accounts and shape portfolio strategy.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, structures, and exception requests within risk appetite and carrier requirements.
• Assess sophisticated risks involving large networks, subsidiaries, and differentiated operating-company exposures.
• Partner with Security, Claims, Product, Actuarial, and CPU teams on complex risk and portfolio decisions.
• Mentor underwriters and contribute to regional underwriting practices, escalation standards, and process improvements; regular travel is required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of underwriting experience, including several years handling complex cyber and Technology E&O risks for large enterprise businesses.
• Expertise in analyzing cyber and Technology E&O risks and their impact on underwriting, pricing, and portfolio outcomes.
• Ability to combine underwriting expertise with broker and client needs to develop and explain creative solutions.
• Strong executive presence, presentation skills, and experience leading complex broker and client discussions.
• Significant experience mentoring underwriters and influencing underwriting standards and operating practices.
• Must be based anywhere in the Western region of the United States; regular travel is required.
