Assistant Merchandiser - The Set (Retail)

What you will do

• Develop range structure proposals using market trends, consumer preferences, sales data, pricing strategies, and product features.
• Prepare and present range proposals in formal meetings, explaining the supporting data and commercial rationale.
• Review seasonal, departmental, supplier, sales, inventory, and markdown performance to identify opportunities and performance gaps.
• Collaborate with factories, suppliers, buying teams, design teams, and brand partners on product development and production.
• Forecast demand, plan capacity and production schedules, coordinate fabric reservations, and review progress against targets.
• Maintain accurate merchandise systems, monitor budgets, negotiate supplier terms, and optimize spend and profitability.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and the ability to prepare clear presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Technical merchandising skills, including data analysis, sales forecasting, inventory planning, and merchandise system management.
• Ability to build effective supplier relationships and support contract negotiations.
• Confidence, enthusiasm, open-mindedness, and willingness to adopt new ways of working.
• Interest in fashion products, market trends, and creative merchandising strategies.
• Candidates requiring sponsorship must meet UK Home Office sponsorship requirements.
