Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

Location: Dearne Valley Boxed Warehouse, Rotherham, S63 5DL, United Kingdom. On-site work on a 42-hour rotating shift pattern covering days, nights, and weekends, including work at heights of up to 20m.

Salary: £21.32 per hour basic pay, plus a 15% nights premium and bonus scheme. Full-year OTE is approximately £54,000, with overtime opportunities.

What you will do

• Fault-find and diagnose PLC-controlled warehouse equipment.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance on pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and robots.
• Analyse and resolve electrical and mechanical faults and complete repairs.
• Use and maintain ASI and Profibus systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and support risk assessment completion and review.
• Work safely at heights of up to 20m after completing appropriate training.

Requirements

• Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a similar Maintenance Engineer or Technician role.
• PLC experience and practical experience maintaining pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyors.
• Resilience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing working hours.
• Good communication, teamwork, and a practical can-do approach.
• PC literacy and the ability to work under pressure.
