Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (PLC/Robotics)

Location: Rotherham (Dearne Valley), United Kingdom; on-site work in warehousing complexes

Salary: £21.32 per hour basic pay, plus 15% nights premium and bonus scheme. Full-year OTE is approximately £54,000, including basic pay, premium, and bonus, with overtime opportunities.

What you will do

• Fault-find and diagnose PLC-controlled warehouse equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and robots.
• Analyze and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and assist with risk assessments.
• Work with ASI and Profibus systems in a state-of-the-art warehousing environment.
• Work at heights of up to 20 metres following appropriate training.

Requirements

• Level 3 Apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Technician.
• Experience with PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyors.
• Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure and changing hours.
• Good communication, teamwork, and PC literacy.
• Availability for a 42-hour rotating schedule covering days, nights, and weekends.
