What you will do

• Perform a wide variety of mechanical repairs on all plant process systems and equipment.
• Inspect and lubricate plant equipment routinely to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
• Conduct risk identification, analysis, and assessments.
• Provide work direction and technical instruction to other team members.
• Participate in HSE inspections, audits, assessments, and report any infringements.

Requirements

• Recognized engineering apprenticeship (HNC/D qualification in engineering is desirable).
• Experience in maintenance or engineering within a 24/7 heavy process environment involving gearboxes, conveyors, steam raising plants, valves, rotating plant, and hydraulic systems.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Strong skills in fault diagnosis, problem solving, planning, and management.
• Excellent communication skills in English (read, write, and verbal).
• Must be able to work onsite at the Slough EfW facility.
