Senior Warehouse Manager or Director of Warehouse Operations

Location: On-site in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China; frequent travel across China, Vietnam, the USA, and Europe is required.

What you will do

• Lead receiving, put-away, inventory control, pick-and-pack, quality checks, packing, and outbound staging across multiple facilities.
• Standardize SOPs, WMS usage, warehouse layouts, labor planning, and continuous improvement practices across China, Vietnam, Chicago, and European sites.
• Manage and develop warehouse managers, supervisors, and frontline teams while building succession plans and a high-performance culture.
• Drive KPIs including pick accuracy, shipping speed, inventory accuracy, productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with factory collection, supplier coordination, outbound logistics, air freight, technology, operations, and customer success teams.
• Lead cost control, capacity scaling, facility expansion, layout redesign, new-site setup, dashboards, root-cause analysis, and custom packaging improvements.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of warehouse, fulfillment, 3PL, or distribution experience, including 4–6 years in multi-site or senior management roles.
• Experience managing large-scale facilities and warehouse teams, with strong leadership, coaching, and people-development skills.
• Hands-on experience with WMS, inventory accuracy programs, labor management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of cross-border, air-parcel, and customs-related warehouse flows; experience with China and Vietnam operations is strongly valued.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, KPI, cost-modeling, and process-redesign skills.
• Excellent English communication is required; Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred. A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in e-commerce, cross-border fulfillment, apparel, home goods, or high-velocity pick-and-pack.
• Experience scaling operations in high-growth startups or 3PLs serving DTC brands.
• Exposure to bonded warehouses, de minimis or informal entry, and direct-from-Asia fulfillment models.
• Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or similar certification.
• Additional languages, including Vietnamese, and prior Asia plus North America/Europe warehouse leadership.
