Senior Operations Manager (Food Fulfillment)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; onsite role in a food-based fulfillment center.

Salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead daily fulfillment center operations across Receiving, Inventory, Facility Maintenance, Quality Control, Prep, Production, and Shipping.
• Directly manage, develop, and hold managers and supervisors accountable through KPIs, performance plans, and clear operating standards.
• Serve as the primary SQF Practitioner and maintain SQF system integrity, compliance records, corrective actions, and audit readiness.
• Maintain environmental, health, quality, and safety performance in line with OSHA, AIB, GMP, HACCP, FSSC, FDA, and SQF standards.
• Analyze operational and production data, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Quality, Food Safety, Maintenance, Inventory, Supply Chain, HR, Logistics, and Distribution to improve delivery, product quality, and warehouse turnover.

Requirements

• Leadership experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, food production, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience directly managing and developing managers and supervisors, including large cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements for food-based facilities, with experience using SQF or similar quality management systems.
• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action planning, process training, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong leadership, communication, conflict-resolution, decision-making, delegation, and team-building skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.

Nice to have

• SQF Practitioner or another relevant food safety certification.
• Lean Six Sigma, PMP, TPM, or another relevant certification.
• 5+ years of plant, warehouse, or fulfillment center operations experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or food industry experience.
